# How to generate a new gift card code

By default, whenever a customer purchases the gift card product in your store, a gift code is generated on Shopify (and displayed on our app as well).

You could also manually create a new gift card code on our app, by following instructions here:

1. Go to _Gift Card_ tab, and hit _Issue Gift card_

2. Fill in the information as asked
