Display Customer's Tax Number using Company field
If you want to show your customer's VAT number (or any other tax number), you can do it using Shopify’s Company field. Here’s how:
In your Shopify admin, go to: Settings → Checkout
Under Customer information, set Company name to Required

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find Checkout language -> choose Edit checkout content

Type "Company" in the Fillter items box, find the Company label under Checkout contact. Rename it VAT number (or any type of Tax number you wish to display), then Save it

It should look like this on Checkout interface:

If you're using the WOLF or MOUSE template in the Vify app:
Go to Languages → Translation → Customer
Edit the Company field text to say VAT Number (or your preferred label)

After everything is finished, here is how the VAT is displayed on the invoice:
